Hi, I'm

Marcos Jr.

Software Developer

I design and build reliable web products end to end — from clean, accessible interfaces to the APIs and infrastructure behind them. Currently focused on TypeScript, React, and Node.js.

Experience

Where I've worked and what I've built.

  1. Software Engineer · Crescendo

    Jan. 2021 — May 2026 · Remote

Partner Hero was acquired by Crescendo in late 2024; retained through the transition along with the core team maintaining products essential to existing customers.

    • Built an LLM-powered support ticket evaluation pipeline — refactored the underlying data pipeline, attached it to the product, and shipped it as an automated ticket-scoring feature that improved internal operational workflows and release reliability.
    • Engineered GraphQL APIs and Firestore-backed pipelines serving the ticket-scoring feature and adjacent product surfaces.
    • Led system architecture improvements and framework/runtime upgrades, standardizing backend services on TypeScript, NestJS, and modern Node.js to eliminate legacy technical debt.
    • Built a NestJS REST API unifying internal workflows with third-party enterprise HRIS platforms, abstracting complex data models and enabling vendor migrations with zero operational downtime.
    • Maintained deployment pipelines via GCP (Cloud Run), Docker, and GitHub Actions; translated ambiguous operational needs into clear API contracts with stakeholders.
    • Mentored junior developers and guided architectural decisions across the team.
  2. Mid-Senior Full-Stack Developer — Search Solutions · Linx Impulse

    Dec. 2019 — Dec. 2020 · Manaus, Brazil

    • Engineered and scaled a high-throughput B2B Node.js search API, driving horizontal scaling, load testing, and performance profiling with a 20-person team to handle ~1M requests/min during Black Friday peak traffic.
    • Worked on legacy PHP services and frontend applications while contributing to microservices architecture to decouple systems, leveraging AWS, Docker, Kafka, CI/CD, and observability tools.
    • Boosted operational reliability through continuous metrics analysis and production support, while mentoring junior developers on team best practices.
  3. Junior Full-Stack Developer — Email Solutions · Linx Impulse

    Aug. 2017 — Dec. 2019 · Manaus, Brazil

    • Engineered new features and maintained cross-stack email operation systems, including AngularJS/Flask dashboards, REST APIs, and Spark pipelines, enhancing operational visibility and backend reliability.
    • Collaborated in a 4-person team to track key product metrics, support daily operations, and maintain high system availability.

Projects

Things I've built in my own time.

DevFlow

A developer productivity dashboard

A self-hosted dashboard that aggregates pull requests, reviews, and CI status across repositories so teams can spot blocked work early.

  • Monorepo architecture with shared UI and typed API layer
  • Background sync pipeline with incremental GitHub ingestion

PulseBoard

Real-time service monitoring

A lightweight monitoring tool that streams health checks and latency metrics over WebSockets, with alerting rules configurable from the UI.

  • Sub-second metric updates over WebSockets at 10k concurrent clients
  • Pluggable check runners for HTTP, TCP, and DNS probes
